Beta releases

There are two version of ViewRanger for Android - the release version, and the beta version.  The beta version has the very latest changes, but may not be as reliable.

The release software is v1.1.8 and is available from www.viewranger.com/software.

A new beta will be available soon from www.viewranger.com/vranbeta.

Many thanks to beta testers for their testing and feedback!

15th July 2010, v1.1.8
- Support for phones whioch contain both mass storage and an SD card. The ViewRanger folder can be out on either or both.
- Improved searching for images/audio/video resources, better resolution if two resources have the same name.
- Fixes to record track recording and editing/saving.
- Fixes to Record Track Service crash.
- Disk space check for downloads. 
- Significant performance boost for GPX parsing & import.
- Fix to Android 2.2 start-up crash.
- Fix for landscape-mode account detail dialog layout issue.
- Fix for unicode character decode array bounds error (problem from some Norwegian maps).
- Various improvements to Organizer List behavior (remembering last selection/index, performance for tracks/routes).

Sometimes sound links are not shown in Details.
Editing a route with no icon set causes its icon to switch to to be 1
ZIP files not deleted once extracted

- Invalid GPS Crosshair visibility; Crosshair is now half again as large and slightly thicker, and drawn in dark gray.
